Day 1

Enjoy a full day in the stunning Cordillera Blanca with a hike to Churup Lagoon. Churup Lagoon is located approximately 20 km east of Huaraz, on the route to Llupa and Pitec. From Pitec, we will begin a steep hike that will take us between 2 and 3 hours (approximately 3.5 km) to reach the lagoon. Here, you can admire its breathtaking turquoise waters for about an hour, with the majestic Churup Mountain as the backdrop. The hike to Churup Lagoon, situated at 4,450 meters above sea level, is one of the most popular and is very close to Huaraz. However, it is not as easy as it seems, so it is advisable to start early (around 7 am) to hike at a leisurely pace and rest when necessary. At the beginning of the hike, we will contribute to the environment by planting a small tree from the Huascarán National Park area.
